Highway
| Ontario's Highway 11, also known as the Trans Canada Highway or Canada's Route 66, runs from Canada's largest city through some of Canada's smallest. It runs 7,700 kilometres east / west across the country from St. John's, Newfoundland to Tofino, British Columbia. It forms the backbone of the province and is a lifeline to its most remote regions. The communities of Longlac, Jellicoe, Beardmore and Macdiarmid are stretched along Highway 11. The communities of Geraldton and Nakina branch off from Highway 11 on to Highway 584, and the community of Caramat branches off at Highway 625. | ![]() |
Air
| The community of Beardmore is equipped with a 86' X 86' HeliPad. It has a restricted maximum helicopter length of 57.3" and is mainly used by the Ministry of Health for emergency purposes. Permission is required for any other use. The geographical co-ordinates are N49 36' 31" W87 57' 11". There are two airports located in the Municipality of Greenstone. |
| The Greenstone Regional Airport in the community of Geraldton has day-to-day activities that include medical flights, MNR fire detecting and fire control flights, as well as private operator flights. It is located 10 kilometers North of Geraldton on Highway 584.
The R. Elmer Ruddick Airport in the community of Nakina has service through Nakina Air Service, as well as other recreational and commercial flights. It is located 1 mile North of Nakina on Cordingley Lake Road.

Rail
| The Canadian National Railway (CN) runs through Caramat, Longlac, and Nakina on its route from toronto to Western Canada. You can view the Ports served by CN here.
There is limited passenger service available in Greenstone. Via Rail provides pick-up and drop-off locations in Longlac and Nakina. The Canadian runs from Toronto to Vancouver, with drop off points in Sudbury, Winnipeg, and Edmonton. Click here to view Via Rail Route Guides. | ![]() |
Marine
| The Port of Thunder Bay is the largest outbound port on the St. Lawrence Seaway System and the sixth largest port in Canada and is located only 300km from Greenstone.
The port is equipped to handle all types of cargoes and is serviced by the Canadian pacific and Canadian National railways as well as mayor trucking companies.
