 History/Historique

The Talmora, or Elmos Mine was part of the Ellis group of claims staked by John A. MacKechnie in 1912.  It was incorporated in 1936, its officers and directors were A.W. Burt, Percy E. Hopkins, and Tom Johnson. 

The mine was situated between the Mosher and Little Long Lac properties with a total of 54 claims. It operated first in 1942, and again from late 1947 to 1948 producing 1417 ounces of gold and 66 ounces of silver.

La mine Talmora, ou Elmos, faisait partie du groupe de concessions Ellis revendiquées par John A. MacKechnie en 1912. Elle a été incorporée en 1936; ses agents et ses directeurs étaient A. W. Burt, Percy E. Hopkins, et Tom Johnson.
