The Greenstone Economic Development Corporation (GEDC) fosters and encourages the start-up and operation of successful enterprise in all economic sectors within the Greenstone Region. We are a community-based, non-profit organization administered by a volunteer board of directors representative of the communities within the Greenstone Service area.

Police Services

 

The Ontario Provincial Police Greenstone Detachment is staffed by 30 police officers who strive to preserve the quality of life in our community by maintaining Greenstone as a safe place to live, work and visit.

The Greenstone Police Detachment is located on Highway 11 west of the Highway 584 junction. 

From this central location, officers are dispatched to the surrounding communities of Greenstone.  

The Greenstone O.P.P. also provides support to the Aboriginal Policing Services in Greenstone as requested.

 

There are two Aboriginal Policing Services that serve the Aroland First Nations and the Ginoogaming First Nations.

The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Services  and the Anishnabek Police Services are stand-alone police services.
