"GEDC is a little bit like an embassy of Canada in this now-focal area of our province's north... They are an impressive group; we were quite surprised to find that level of business advisory skills in such a remote place."

imageMosher-Long Lac Gold Mines, Ltd. was incorporated in 1934  to develop 22 claims located immediately west of the MacLeod-Cockshutt property.  In 1950, after a period of innactivity, the company reorganized as New Mosher Longlac Mines Limited, and acquired the past-producing Hardrock Mine property.

In 1952, the shaft-sinking began.   A total of 330,265 ounces of gold were produced and 34,586 ounces of silver between 1963 to 1966.  In July 1970, underground operations were terminated, and the mine closed down.
