Greenstone Fire Department

The Greenstone Fire Department is staffed by 125 community volunteers and one Chief Fire Officer who has charge of all fire related matters in Greenstone.

Each community's fire hall is equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment to conduct fire suppression services throughout their areas of responsibility.

Training Standards are established through the Office of the Fire Marshal and volunteers are trained to the same level as full-time firefighters.

As well, two Geraldton Ward firefighters have been awarded the Firefighter's Medal of Bravery.

The department offers home inspections, school visits, visits to the fire halls, and participates in community events such as trade shows, music festivals and parades.
