We are a community-based, non-profit organization administered by a volunteer board of directors representative of the communities within the Greenstone Service area.

Canadian Youth Business Foundation

Canadian Youth Business Foundation

The Canadian Youth Business Foundation, (CYBF), is a national charity providing start-up mentoring, financing and business resources for young Canadians to create their own successful businesses. CYBF provides up to $15,000 in start-up financing, low interest rates, flexible 3 to 5 year repayment schedules, and NO principal payments in your first year. They give guidance towards resources on everything from how to develop a practical and effective business plan to marketing tips that get your company noticed. CYBF individually matches and trains every entrepreneur with a qualified and dedicated business mentor for a minimum of 2 years during the critical start-up period.

 

How to Qualify

  • Young Entrepreneurs You are 18-34 years old (if business partner(s) are over the age of 34, then the qualifying CYBF applicant must own 51% of the voting shares of the business.)
  • You have a viable business plan
  • Your business is new or under a year old
  • Your business will be your full-time career
  • You are eligibile to work in Canada (work permit holders are not eligible)
  • You agree to work with a mentor for a minimum of two years
